Synopsis
As I walk at a steady pace, images and thoughts pop into my head and vanish from view.

A word from the team
I’m generally drawn to Nayla’s work for its sensibility and the quiet, observational way it witnesses life unfolding. out of the corner of my eye feels like opening the pages of an intimate diary, tracing a search for meaning within solitude. There is something both tender and melancholic in the delicate way she evokes the passing of time.

I also love the title, which perfectly mirrors the experience of watching the film. As the subtitles move from right to left across the screen, with no voice-over to guide us, we are asked to hold our attention in one place. Yet the images remain so vivid and alive that it feels as though Nayla is inviting us into her way of seeing: noticing the small, often overlooked details that exist at the edges of perception, while the world continues its restless movement all around.
