Scarves

Eight non-Muslim women try on the Islamic headscarf for the first time. Through the experience of this video, the participants and viewers are asked to re-consider their perceptions of this private and often misunderstood symbol of the Muslim faith. By sharing this cultural artifact in a safe and creative situation, we open a dialogue and build a bridge between the Muslim and non-Muslim communities.
