Matilda received a BFA from the University of British Columbia in 1998 and an MFA from the University of California, San Diego, in 2004. Trained in painting and photography as well as film, her current work draws heavily from all three practices. Her videos have been exhibited at various venues in Canada, the United States and China. She currently lives in Vancouver.
