Emotional Ground (Manufactured Romance : Part 3)

This is the third and final part of the Manufactured Romance series. This tape could be said to fall into the genre of mystery. The two principal stories have no conclusive ending or obvious connection, thus forcing the viewer to construct for her/himself both the relation between them as well as their possible outcome. Candie's character continues to evolve by means of intense self-reflection. Woman's power in the symbolic realm is examined, as well as her desire and internalisation of domination in patriarchal society. The question of authorship is a theme running throughout the tape, uniting the two seemingly separate stories. Narrative closure is only tentatively suggested.
